Privacy Policy

Who we are

PatternLabs (“we”, “us”) provides a mobile app and website for screening crypto markets with volume and pattern filters. Contact: support@patternlabs.app. Website: patternlabs.org.

Who this applies to

This policy covers the PatternLabs website and mobile apps (iOS / Android), including guest use without an account and signed-in use. The app is intended for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

What we process

  • Email — for one-time passcode (OTP) sign-in when you create or use an account.
  • Display name — optional profile name if you set one.
  • Device / client ID — a local app identifier used for guest sessions, device linking after sign-in, limits, and settings.
  • Auth token (JWT) — stored on your device in secure storage (Keychain / encrypted storage) while you stay signed in.
  • Push token (FCM) — if you allow notifications, so we can deliver alerts to that device.
  • Alert watches — pattern + pair + timeframe (and related preferences) you ask us to watch.
  • Favorites — saved pairs in your account (and guest favorites tied to the device until you sign in).
  • Session / screener data — exchange, timeframe, filter selections, and shortlist state needed to run the product.
  • Usage counters — daily technical counters (for example pattern applies and push sends) used to enforce plan / guest limits.
  • IP address — used to rate-limit OTP send/verify and protect the service from abuse.
  • Plan status — e.g. free / pro on the account when applicable.
  • Support messages — if you email or message us, we process what you send to help you.
  • Technical logs — basic server/app diagnostics. If we add Crashlytics, Sentry, or similar, we will update this section.

Guest vs account

You can use core features as a guest. Guest data is tied to the device/client ID (limits, local/server prefs, optional watches). When you sign in, we may link that device to your account and sync account data such as favorites. Signing out returns the device to guest identity; deleting the account removes account data as described below.

Why we process it

  • authenticate you and keep the account secure;
  • run the screener and remember filter progress;
  • sync favorites and deliver alert notifications;
  • enforce fair-use and plan limits;
  • prevent abuse (including OTP flooding);
  • provide support and improve reliability.

Third parties

  • Our hosting / servers — API, database, and related infrastructure where we store and process the data above.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push delivery when notifications are enabled.
  • Email delivery provider (SMTP) — used to send OTP codes when email sign-in is enabled. We do not sell your email.
  • Crypto exchanges — public market data APIs (e.g. Binance, Bybit). We do not send your email to exchanges for screening.
  • TradingView — charts may load inside the app (WebView / TradingView widgets or pages). TradingView may receive technical requests (such as IP and device data) under its own terms and privacy policy when a chart is opened.
  • Apple / Google — if you install from the App Store or Google Play, those platforms process install and store-account data under their policies.

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep account and service data while your account exists and the service needs it, or longer if the law requires. OTP codes expire within minutes and used challenges are consumed. Usage counters are kept on a daily basis for limit enforcement. After account deletion we remove or anonymize personal account data within a reasonable time. Guest device records may remain until they expire, are overwritten, or are cleaned up as part of normal operations.

Delete your account

If you have an account: in the app go to profile settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your user account and cascaded account data (such as favorites and device links) on our servers, and clears related OTP/usage rows for that account. You can also request deletion by emailing support@patternlabs.app.

Your choices

You can deny notification permission (no FCM token / no pushes). You can clear app data / uninstall to remove local identifiers and tokens on the device. You can delete your account as above. Chart features that depend on TradingView will call TradingView when you open them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to object / complain to a regulator. Contact support@patternlabs.app. Where GDPR or similar rules apply, we respond within the required time.

International processing

Our servers and providers may process data in countries different from yours (including EU hosting and global services such as Google Firebase or TradingView). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and provider terms.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page; the date is at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before or when they take effect.
